San Diego beckons

Posted at 08:15 AM on May 30, 2008 in Travelogues, General.

No-oooooooooo!!! Not again. I am going to miss my daughter's birthday for the second consecutive year. Well 'kadamai azhaikuthu'. So no other choice. On the positive side I am getting another camera and planning to go to Sea World too (Last time when I was in Irvine, I gave Sea World a miss, postponing it for another time and it has been a wise decision). But all the fun only after the successful completion of the reason I am here.

That would be tough on them. Both of them are way too social to be left alone in a hotel room all day along for a couple of months. Moreover Smitha is joining school this month and it would not be good to be off straight away.
Above all I am on to something that will not allow me to return home (hotel) on time. If they are here, it will be in the back of my mind and that is not good for the kind of work I have come here for. Enna panrathu :(

Hmmm... I can understand. I had my share of celebrating stuff alone too.. Dont know if we could call it a celebration at all :-)

Looks like eveyones life has become so hectic that things which looked quiet obvious need to be prioritized and thought upon now.

Anyway ! Have a successful trip.

Thanks and take care.
Life is as hard or as good as we want it to be. Couple of months in a year I need to be away from family. But then its my job and I need to return the favor to those who give me money.
Otherwise back in India I stick to 8 to 5 job timings and spend a lot of time with Kayar and Smitha. So I think it is up to us to have it in control and balance it well. It is difficult but not impossible. There are loads and loads of people I see who spend their entire life in office and strain relationships with their beloved ones.
